Join us at Lough Boora Discovery Park for the opening of a new fairy trail
This summer, a party of fairies will magically descend upon Lough Boora Discovery Park for the biggest family event of the Summer.
Bord na Móna is thrilled to announce that The Irish Fairy Door Company have partnered with Lough Boora Discovery Park to open a new Fairy Trail. To mark the occasion, Bord na Móna is hosting a Lough Boora Fairy Door Tea Party to help raise funds for Barretstown children’s charity. The very special family event will take place on Saturday July 25th from 12pm – 5pm.
Children will have an opportunity to participate in a wide range of fairy themed activities throughout the day. The new Lough Boora Fairy Door Trail, which will be a permanent new route, will be there ready to be explored. Each child will get a map of the A-maze-in Willow World where the fairy doors can be found. Located beside the Pavilion, each child gets a sprinkling of fairy dust before they set off on the trail which will make the adventure even more dreamlike.
Entertainment on the day will feature Irish fairy and folklore storytelling in the new fairy ring, as well as fairy themed games and face painting. Upon finding the final fairy door, a magical tea-party with giant flowers, tea-cups and saucers, stilt walkers and fairytale characters will await.
The whole family will also have the opportunity to soak up the atmosphere and savour some delicious treats from a range of vendors offering everything from popcorn and sweet stalls to vintage ice-cream and cup-cake stands; an absolute must for any tea party!
Little ones are invited to dress up as their favourite fairy, pixie, elf or folklore character on the day. The event is free but we kindly ask attendees to make a contribution to Barretstown children’s charity on the day.
Attendees are requested to register for the event by July 23rd. You must print your printed ticket on the day as there are limited spaces available.
