Ferbane Tidy Towns
Want to make a difference in your community?…Want to help protect our environment?…Want to learn how to save money?….Want to meet like-minded people and have fun?…, then perhaps you may be interested in one of the following workshops. Offaly County Council, Environment Section are offering a group workshop in association with the Irish Peatland Conservation Council. The workshop will be approx 2 hours long.
Date and venue to be confirmend. You can select ONE theme from the following;
- Organic waste prevention and composting – introduction to a variety of composting systems and how to set up and manage same
- Water conservation
- Biodiversity – exploration of local habitats including identification session on local wildlife through a biodiversity survey
- Wildlife gardening
- Energy conservation
- There will also be a seperate course on Upcycling where Clothes and Textiles are donated and turned into other products like handbags etc.. And donated to Midland Simon Community
